The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S is all set to launch on 27 March in Shanghai. As we approach the launch date, more leaks are emerging on a regular basis. The latest leak deals with the images of the smartphone which give an idea about the design.
As expected, the Mi Mix 2S will be sporting an almost bezel-less display on the front, with a noticeable chin on the base. On the rear side, you have a dual camera setup and this looks exactly like the one we have seen on the Apple iPhone X with the dual LED flash unit placed between the two camera sensors.
According to GizmoChina, the firmware leaks of the Mi Mix 2S reveal that the selfie camera will be placed on the bottom bezel on the front of the phone.
The glossy rear, most likely glass, also confirms the rumour that it would be supporting wireless charging. There’s a fingerprint scanner on the rear side as well which is placed in the top centre portion where your index finger would generally rest.
As previously reported, it is likely that Mi Mix 2S is likely to pack more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC like competition such as the Samsung Galaxy S9, S9 Plus and Sony Xperia XZ2. This, in addition to the presence of 8 GB RAM and 256 GB internal storage can make for a compelling flagship device.
The company also hinted that the design of the device will not change much in comparison to the previous generation, the Mi Mix 2.
The upcoming device may also pack ‘AI functionality’ as part of its camera software to control the expected dual camera setup on the back according to an earlier report.
Apart from the teases, a leaked video suggested that the device may come with a small notch on the top-right corner of the device to accommodate the front camera of the device.
