Xiaomi India today announced its Redmi 3S+, the latest smartphone by the company. This device is the first to be available exclusively at offline stores across India. It will not be sold using the usual online channels in order to build a stronger offline retail presence in India.
The latest smartphone by the company is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor clocked at 1.4GHz with 2GB RAM. The device sports 32GB of internal storage and powers the 5-inch HD display using an Adreno 505 GPU. It packs a fingerprint sensor at the back and is equipped with a high-density 4100mAh battery for extended usage. The smartphone is equipped with a 13MP camera module on the back with Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF) technology and a 5MP front facing camera. It offers LTE and VoLTE enabled dual SIM support, while supporting both Micro and Nano SIMs, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth, hotspot, 3.5mm headphone jack and micro-USB port options for connectivity.
Xiaomi has tied up with retail stores like Sangeetha, BIG C, LOT mobiles, Poorvika and distributors like Redington, Innocomm and Just Buy Live. The company has ensured that the device will be available in more than 7,500 retailers across the country starting 1 October.
