Veg Protein Pulao


A delectable rice recipe, Veg Protein Pulao is a healthy recipe ideal to serve as a main dish. Made with basmati rice and loaded with peas, tomatoes, soya nuggets, this vegetable recipe can be served with raita to make the experience even more delightful.

1 1/2 cup basmati rice
4 tablespoon coconut oil
1 cinnamon stick
3 green cardamom
1 piece ginger
1 teaspoon red chilli powder
1 tablespoon coriander powder
1 cup boiled peas
2 tablespoon chopped coriander leaves
1 cup soaked soya nuggets
1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
4 clove
3 medium chopped onion
10 cloves chopped garlic
1/4 teaspoon powdered turmeric
3 chopped tomato
2 pinches salt
3 cup veg stock

Step 1
Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds, cinnamon, cloves, green cardamoms and onions. Saute for two minutes and add ginger and garlic and saute for another minute.

Step 2
Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and continue to saute. Add a little water so that the masala does not burn.

Step 3
Add tomato and soya nuggets. Cook for a minute and add green peas, salt and coriander leaves. Add rice and stir. Add three cups of vegetable stock and stir.

Step 4
When it comes to a boil, lower the heat, cover and cook till the rice is done. Serve hot with raita.
