Tandoori Tofu Kebabs


Tofu is one of the most nutritious vegan foods that can provide you a great amount of protein. Also known as bean curd, tofu is totally gluten-free and is low in calories. If you are looking for a veg/vegan source of protein, then its the best source for having your daily requirement. Tofu can be used to make any type of dish, be it a salad, an appetizer or even main course, you can consume it in the way you like. Here is a delicious appetizer recipe that you can easily prepare at home without any fuss.

300 gm tofu
1/2 cup diced red bell pepper
5 green beans
2 onion
2 tablespoon refined oil

For Marination:
1/2 tablespoon minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon garam masala powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
2 teaspoon lemon juice
salt as required

Step 1
To prepare this mouth-watering yet healthy kebab recipe, take the tofu and dice it into cubes and add them into a large bowl.

Step 2
Now, add minced garlic, cumin powder, paprika, red chilli powder, lemon juice, black pepper, salt and garam masala to it and marinate the tofu properly.

Now, cover the bowl and place this mixture in the refrigerator for 30-45 minutes.

Step 4
Then, take a skewer and arrange the tofu pieces, onion, green beans and bell peppers in it. Repeat the same process with the other skewers.

Step 5
Place the skewers in the greased baking tray and transfer it to the oven. Cook for 20-25 minutes or until the tofu pieces are golden brown.

Step 6
Once cooked, transfer into a serving plate and serve hot.
