3/4 cut into strips capsicum (green pepper)
2 cut into strips carrot
black pepper as required
salt as required
4 tablespoon soy sauce
1 chopped spring onions
To make this delectable appetizer recipe, take a chopping board and chop paneer into cubes. Next cut onions, carrots and capsicum into strips. Keep the chopped ingredients aside.
Now, add corn flour, salt, pepper and water in a deep bowl. Whisk well until a thick and smooth batter is formed. Ensure that the batter is not runny.
Dip the paneer cubes into the batter and roll them in order to get an even coating all over the cubes. Once coated, deep fry the paneer cubes until crisp from all the sides. Remove the paneer cubes from heat once they turn golden-brown and remove the excess oil by draining them on an absorbent paper.
Meanwhile, add honey, soy sauce and vinegar in a bowl. Mix well an keep aside.
Now, heat oil in a wok placed over medium heat. Saute onion and garlic in it. Once the onion turns glossy, add the carrots along with capsicum and cook for another 3 minutes.
Next, add the honey-vinegar-soy sauce mixture into the wok and bring it to a boil.
Once boiled, add the fried paneer along with the leftover corn flour batter. Season with salt and stir well. Simmer until the sauce thickens.
Once done, your Sweet and Sour Paneer is ready. Garnish with the spring onions and serve hot!
