After the grand announcement of its Galaxy S8, Samsung Mobile India has a pre-registration page opened up for interested customers. The pre-registration page is available on the company’s official website and is merely a space to register your interest in the upcoming flagships and not a chance to pre-book the device.
Indeed, the visibility of a pre-registrations page on the Samsung’s India website hints that the Galaxy S8 and its bigger sibling the Galaxy S8+ will be launched soon. Samsung has yet to provide a defined date for the launch, but rumours hint at a mid-April or a late April launch.
Coming to the pre-registrations page, it is simply a place for interested buyers to tell Samsung what they are interested in when it comes to the Galaxy S8 and S8 +. Apart from entering your personal details (which will be used to contact you when the launch happens). The page also puts forth a simple questionnaire asking potential buyers which is their favourite feature. It also asks another odd question, “How will your favourite feature “Unbox your Existence?” with a ‘register’ button that sits at the bottom.
While the initial reception to the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ have been fairly positive, what has kept many fans with baited breath are their respective price tags. Samsung indeed brings a lot of new hardware this time around, with an Infinity Display, an iris scanner, its own new assistant Bixby and even a brand-new Exynos 8895 SoC that is built on the 10nm manufacturing process so they may actually be worth the high price tags we have seen so far.
Samsung has priced its Galaxy S8 and S8+ in the US around $720 and $840 which roughly translates to Rs 46,000 and Rs 54,000 respectively.
