Samsung has decided to blend style with fitness with the all-new Charm fitness band. It has been launched in Korea, Italy, France and Russia, and expected to reach select markets soon. There is no word specifically about India launch yet.
Charm sports a sleek design and looks like a piece of jewelry instead of an electronic device. There’s a square charm to keep track of the number of steps taken in a day and also notify users of incoming calls, texts and social media updates. Dipped in gold, black and Rose quartz, Samsung claims it works as a standalone sophisticated jewelry or can also be layered with other trendy bracelets to suit your outfit.
It works in conjunction with the Samsung S Health app. So, it can monitor your daily activity levels. Also, it is possible to sync it with a smartphone via Bluetooth and there’s Charm by Samsung app too. The app is available for download via Galaxy Apps and Google Play Store and lets you keep a track of steps taken and calories burnt.
Charm’s built-in storage monitor continuously gathers fitness data, even without the phone. Charm has LED notifications to alert incoming calls and text messages, charging, connectivity and battery status.
Charm is compatible with smartphones running Android OS 4.4 or above, as well as with S Health 4.6 or above versions. It has a built-in 17mAh battery that promises up to 14 days on a single charge.
