This Mediterranean recipe is a must try for all those people who love eggs. Very popular in Turkish households, this is snack recipe is basically a pastry prepared out of egg yolks, butter and nigella seeds which are used as a topping. Serve this to your guests the next time they arrive at your place for a gathering and give their taste buds a mouth-watering treat by offering them these cute little oval shaped pastries.

Ingredients:
For Filling:
1 cup cheese- feta
2 1/2 tablespoon parsley

For Dough:
2 egg yolk
1 1/2 cup yoghurt (curd)
salt as required
1 teaspoon sugar
200 gm butter
2 teaspoon baking powder
4 cup flour

For Toppings:
2 1/2 tablespoon black sesame seeds

Procedure:
Step 1
pre-heat the oven to a temperature of 350 degree Celsius. In a large bowl, crumble cheese and add chopped parsley leaves to it. Start by pouring the flour in a large bowl along with baking powder, curd, salt, sugar. Knead it to a soft dough. Make small dough balls out of this now.

Step 2
Flatten the dough balls using your palm and add a small amount of filling prepared at the first step in it. Fold the circle in half so that the edges get closed and the filling doesn’t come off. Now, take a baking tray and line it with the baking paper. One by one place all the dough balls seam side down and make sure your roll is oval.

Step 3
Beat the eggs in a large bowl and coat the top of the each roll with the egg yolk using a brush. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top of it and slide it in the pre-heated oven. Bake until the balls puff up and turn golden brown in color. Bake for about 20-25 minutes and your Pogaca Tarifi is now ready to be served.
