Paneer Capsicum Sabzi


When you’re looking at making something quickly and sumptuous meal lunch – which is healthy too, here’s a paneer recipe which can be a quick solution. Made with capsicum, paneer, asafoetida, cumin seeds and olive oil, this easy recipe is ideal for tiffins too.

200 gm grated paneer
2 medium finely chopped onion
1/4 cup virgin olive oil
1 pinch asafoetida
1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
1/4 teaspoon powdered turmeric
2 medium cut into strips capsicum ( green pepper)
1 finely chopped tomato
1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds
1/4 teaspoon red chilli powder
1 tablespoon coriander powder
2 pinches salt

Step 1
Heat the cooking oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds and allow them to crackle.

Step 2
Add onions and saute them till they turn pink in colour. Now add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, and asafetida. Add capsicum and saute it till it is slightly brown in colour at its ends.

Step 3
Followed by this, add chopped tomatoes and mix it well. Cover the pan with lid and allow the steam to soften the veggies.

Step 4
Add cumin-coriander powder and salt to taste. Mix it well. Now added grated paneer in it and mix it properly. Again cover the pan with a lid for a couple of minutes.

Step 5
Add chopped coriander to this sabzi and serve this sabzi with parathas and pickle.
