Are you are a fan of tikkas? This Paneer Ananas Tikka recipe is sure to satiate your craving for spicy food and will become one of your favorites! Made using pineapple, paneer, yoghurt, cream, ginger, peppercorns, green capsicum, red bell pepper, sugar and salt, this appetizer recipe is definitely going to get your party started. You can serve this North Indian recipe with a dip of your choice to make it even more flavorful.
500 gm paneer
300 gm beaten yoghurt (curd)
1/2 teaspoon finely chopped ginger
salt as required
1 red bell pepper
4 slices pineapple tidbits
250 gm pineapple
50 gm fresh cream
1 teaspoon crushed peppercorns
1 capsicum (green pepper)
2 teaspoon sugar
To prepare this snack recipe, cut the paneer into 2 X 2-inch cubes with 1/2 -inch thickness. Give a slight cut on the side to create a pocket for the stuffing. Now, peal the pineapple and add 200 grams in a blender to make a fine paste. Chop the remaining pineapple. Stuff the paneer pockets with the chopped pineapple.
Take a bowl and mix together the pineapple paste in it along with beaten yoghurt, chopped ginger, salt, cream, crushed peppercorns. Make it into a smooth marinade. Now, deseed and cut the green capsicum and red bell pepper into 2-inch cubes. Marinade the paneer cubes and capsicum well with the prepared marinade. Leave it for 15-20 minutes.
Sprinkle the pineapple tidbit slices with salt and sugar. Now, arrange the marinated paneer, green capsicum, red bell pepper and pineapple slices on to a skewer and cook it in tandoor for 6-8 mins. Alternatively, you can also cook it in an oven at 200 degrees Celsius for 8-10 mins. Once cooked, take the skewers out from the oven or tandoor. Serve these hot on a platter with a dip of your choice to enjoy!
