At Auto China 2016 (2016 Beijing Motor Show), Toyota unveiled the new Toyota Vios (facelift) with an updated exterior but kept the car’s interior hidden and didn’t disclose any related details. Now, a new report from PCauto.com.cn sheds some details about the facelifted Toyota Vios’ interior.
The facelifted Toyota Vios will gain a bigger screen for the infotainment system featuring various functions such as video playback, music playback, navigation and more. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration compatibility are expected to be among the key features of this infotainment system.
The report says that the facelift will bring new vehicle stability system and engine start-stop system to the Vios. The top-end Vios will feature projector headlights, daytime running lights and marker lights, and have a traditional analogue instrument panel.
The new Toyota Vios (facelift) will be offered with 1.3- and 1.5-litre naturally aspirated engines. The latter is expected to be the 2NR-FE 1.5-litre Dual VVT-i unit. These engines will be available with a 5-speed manual transmission and/or a continuously variable transmission. The facelifted Vios is expected to go on sale in China in September.
