Moong Fingers


Rains call for some great food. What can be better than relishing these amazing delicacies at the convenience of your home.Moong daal or moong lentil is considered to be very healthy.

2 cup moong dal
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 teaspoon powdered red chilli
2 pinches powdered salt
1 teaspoon crushed to paste green chilli
6 bread slices
1 tablespoon Soya flour
2 tablespoon garam masala powder
1 cup sunflower oil

For Garnishing:
1 handful chopped coriander leaves

Step 1
Soak the bread slices in water and squeeze dry.

Step 2
Combine the moong dal and bread slices in a large bowl.

Step 3
Add all the other ingredients and mix well.

Step 4
Shape the mixture into 1/2 inch fingers (rolls) and keep aside for 10 minutes.

Step 5
Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium flame.

Step 6
Fry the prepared moong dal fingers until light golden brown and crisp.

Step 7
Remove and drain excess oil.

Step 8
Serve hot (or warm) with mint chutney and ketchup.
