Moong Dal Soup is a perfect baby food that is fed to the babies who are above 6 months of age. Moong dal is highly recommended to the kids who are old enough to have solid foods. It is usually given in the form of khichdi or soups. It is used to prepare appetizing soups which are liked by the babies. Moong dal contains many nutrients like proteins, potassium, and fibre and boosts the immunity and metabolism of the babies. The fibre content helps in the proper functioning of the digestive system. Apart from the moong dal, you can add some light vegetables to this dish to make it even for nutritious. They are all pressure cooked to ensure all the ingredients are tender enough to be easily digested by the baby.
4 tablespoon moong dal
2 tablespoon finely chopped peas
salt as required
water as required
1/4 cup finely chopped carrot
1 small finely chopped potato
1/2 teaspoon ghee
To prepare this easy soup, wash the vegetables thoroughly before chopping them.
Wash and soak the moong dal in a small bowl.
Then, add all the veggies and moong dal in a cooker with required amount of water. Pressure cook them for 3 whistles.
Once done, let them cool down then blend in a food processor into a smooth paste.
Then, take a pan with some ghee and reheat the soup properly.
Transfer into a serving bowl and serve warm to the baby.
