Masala Khakra is a perfect recipe to satiate your untimely hunger pangs with a healthy snack. Khakras are Gujarat’s one of the most famous snacks that are loved by all. Making this simple recipe is an easy task and can be pulled of by anyone, all you need is gram flour, wholewheat flour, low fat milk, and a melange of spices to prepare this snack recipe.

1 cup gram flour (besan)
1 teaspoon chilli powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoon refined oil
2 pinches asafoetida
2 teaspoon wholemeal flour
5 tablespoon low fat milk
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
2 pinches turmeric

Step 1
Masala Khakra is a delectable snack made with an amalgamation of spices and a variety of flours. Here’s how you can prepare this dish at home using some easily available ingredients. In a deep-bottomed mixing bowl, add gram flour followed by turmeric, asafoetida, cumin seeds, salt, low fat milk, chili powder and wholemeal flour. Mix well and knead it into a soft dough.

Step 2
Separate the dough into small portions and flatten them into a circle and roll them in the shape of a small roti . Repeat with the remaining dough.

Step 3
Put a non-stick griddle on medium flame and add refined oil in it. Pan fry the khakra until your see brown spot on it. Repeat until you fry every flattened circle you just prepared. Serve hot or store it.
