You don’t need a lot of ingredients rather a handful of spices hung curd along with fresh paneer will do the job. This vegetarian tikka gives a neck-to-neck competition to the non-vegetarian version.
250 gm paneer
1/2 teaspoon paprika powder
1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
1 tablespoon mustard oil
1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
1/2 teaspoon kasoori methi powder
1 tablespoon hung curd
chaat masala powder as required
salt as required
Step 1- Cut paneer and prepare the marinade
Before starting the procedure, cut the paneer into medium sized square shape and keep it aside. Then, take a big bowl and combine hung curd along with all the spices and mix well.
Step 2- Marinate the paneer
Now, coat the paneer pieces with the hung curd and spice mixture properly. You can also use your hands to coat the mixture evenly in the cubes of paneer. Let the paneer mixture marinate inside the fridge for about an hour, so that paneer absorbs all the spices properly.
Step 3- Cook the paneer using grilling method
Now, cook the paneer on either an oven, charcoal grills, barbeque grill, preheated oven (150 degrees Celsius) for about 5-10 mins. Let the paneer roast from both the side. Take it out of the oven and serve it hot. Garnish it with some onions, coriander leaves, mint chutney.
