Khas Khas Aloo is a delectable Navratri recipe which is famous in North India. It is a mouth-watering main dish recipe which you can have during your fast with kuttu ki roti. 1 kilograms potato
2 tablespoon coriander leaves
2 tablespoon refined oil
sendha namak as required
4 chopped green chillies
6 tablespoon poppy seeds
1 teaspoon red chilli powder
curry leaves as required
4 tablespoon lemon juice
1 cup water
To start with, clean and soak poppy seeds in water for at least 4 hours. Once done, drain the water and grind it into fine smooth paste.
Now, take a non-stick pan, and heat oil. Add curry leaves and cook it for a few seconds. Then, add potatoes and cook them until light brown.
To the pan, add khas khas paste and saute on a medium flame for a few seconds. Then, add green chillies, rock salt, red chilli powder and 1 cup of water. mix these ingredients well and stir well. Cover the pan with a lid to let the potatoes cook on a high flame properly.
Once the potatoes are cooked properly, remove the pan from heat and drizzle lemon juice and coriander leaves on the potatoes. Toss the potatoes and serve it warm.
