Homemade Coconut Laddoo is a delicious North Indian recipe made with condensed milk and desiccated or grated coconut, and ghee. This is a mouth-watering dessert recipe and can be prepared on special occasions and festivals. It is an easy-to-make laddoo recipe that you can try at home and it won’t even take much of your precious time. It would be loved by kids and adults alike. Even you won’t be able to resist taking a bite of laddoo whenever you are cooking it. The plus point of these dessert recipe is that it can be stored in a refrigerator to feed you for many days.
3 cup grated coconut
2 teaspoon ghee
1 1/2 cup condensed milk
1 teaspoon powdered green cardamom
chopped mixed dry fruits as required
To begin with, take a non-stick pan and heat the ghee. Add grated coconut (desiccated) and condensed milk and mix it well. Now heat the mixture. Then add green cardamom powder. Mix well and stir occasionally. Cook on low flame.
Once you notice that the mixture is attaining thickness, start stirring it regularly. Stir until the fat leaves the sides of coconut and mixture begins to leave the sides. Remove the pan from the heat and transfer it to a deep bowl. Let it cool.
Once the mixture is cooled, take a small portion of mixture between the palms and shape it in the form of small round ball. Similarly, shape the remaining portion of mixture to ladoos. Once done, roll the ladoos one-by-one in a grated coconut and garnish it with dry fruits.
If you want you can refrigerate the laddoos otherwise serve them fresh.
