Green Beans ki Sabzi

Green Beans ki Sabzi is an interesting lunch and dinner recipe served with roti. This traditional side dish recipe is made using green beans, onion and variety of spices. Try out this easy and healthy recipe at home that can be made in minutes! This delicious beans sabzi is usually eaten with wholewheat chappatis and is very high fiber and healthy. Apart from being healthy, this beans recipe is delicious as well.

Ingredients:
1/2 cup chopped bean green
1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 pinch salt
1/4 teaspoon dry mango powder
1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
1/4 teaspoon powdered turmeric
1 medium finely chopped onion
1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
2 washed & dried red chilli
1 medium finely chopped green chilli
1 teaspoon virgin olive oil
1/4 cup water

Procedure:
Step 1
Heat oil in a non stick pan over moderate flame and add cumin seeds and dried red chillis. Once the cumin seeds turn slightly golden in colour, add onions. Saute the onions till golden brown in colour.

Step 2
Now add turmeric powder, green chillies, dry mango powder, red chilli powder and coriander powder. Stir the ingredients for few seconds and then immediately add washed beans. Season the beans with salt. Next add water and cover the lid for 10-15 minutes or until softened (cook for less time if you like crunchy beans).

Step 3
Once done, transfer the sabzi in a serving bowl. This delicious beans sabzi is usually eaten with wholewheat chappatis and is very high fiber and healthy. Serve with hot rotis or even parathas.
