Garlic bread is probably the best side dish offered with pizza. But even garlic bread can be given a twist and enhanced to an extent that it oozes with cheese just like our favourite ‘cheese burst pizza’ and is baked in the form of an adorable muffin. The Garlic Bread Muffins recipe is a refreshingly changed form of the conventional garlic bread.
8 bread slices
4 tablespoon butter
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 teaspoon baking powder
10 leaves parsley
1/2 cup water
12 cloves crushed to paste garlic
1 teaspoon powdered black pepper
1 cup shredded mozzarella
2 pinches baking soda
4 tablespoon vegetable oil
ground oregano as required
salt as required
Start by crushing the bread slices with your hands into a grinder jar. Grind the crushed bread coarsely and make flour out of it. Transfer this flour to a medium sized bowl and sprinkle salt, black pepper, baking soda, baking powder and oregano to the flour and mix it well. Now crush some garlic cloves and add them to the flour.
Next, add the remaining garlic cloves to a bowl along with some butter and microwave it until the butter melts. Add this to the dough along with some grated mozzarella cheese and water and knead a sticky dough. Set it aside for some time.
Glaze the muffin moulds with some butter and slowly add equal amount of dough in them. Grate some cheddar cheese over the dough in the muffin moulds.
Bake in a 200°C pre-heated oven and bake for 15 minutes at the same temperature. Serve hot.
