Egg Salad Sandwich


There can be nothing more filling than an egg sandwich. A right combination of carbs, greens and protein, this is the best thing to have on a busy day. This easy sandwich will keep you satiated for long and will also bring down your cravings. Pair it with the drink and dip of your choice and you are sorted for the day.

2 bread slices
2 tablespoon cream cheese
salt as required
1 teaspoon ghee
1/8 cup finely chopped spring onions
1 handful chopped lettuce loose-leaf
1 egg
1/4 teaspoon chilli flakes
1 pinch oregano
1/2 tomato
1/2 onion

Step 1
To make this healthy and delicious sandwich recipe, boil an egg in water and peel it once it’s done. Finely chop the egg and transfer it in a bowl. Then add cream cheese, chilli flakes, oregano and salt in the same bowl. Mix all these ingredients properly using a spoon. Spread this mixture on 1 bread slice.

Step 2
Cut the tomato and onion in rounds. Put these tomato rounds and onions on the egg mixture. Shred the lettuce with your hands and place it on the veggies. Cover with the other slice of bread. Now heat a frying pan on medium flame.

Step 3
Place the sandwich on the pan and apply little ghee around the edges. Cook for 1 minute on each side and remove. Transfer the sandwich to a serving plate and pair it with sauces of your choice. Serve with french fries and the salad of your choice. (You can also use a sandwich maker if you have one.)
