Cucumber Curry is a very simple and common South Indian curry recipe best served with steamed rice. Made with fresh cucumber cubes and milk, this easy lunch recipe is loved by people of all age groups.
2 chopped,peeled,washed & dried cucumber
1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds
1/4 teaspoon cumin powder
2 tablespoon refined oil
1 cup water
1/4 cup boiled milk
1/3 teaspoon powdered turmeric
1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
10 curry leaves
For making this curry recipe, heat a pan on medium flame and add oil in it.
Add cumin seeds and curry leaves in the oil and fry it for a few seconds. Reduce the flame to low and add the turmeric powder along with red chilli powder, mix it well.
Then add water, chopped cucumber along with salt and cumin powder in the pan.
Mix all the ingredients well, cover the pan and cook the cucumber for about 12 to 13 minutes on low flame.
Finally add the milk in the curry and keep stirring. Cover the pan and cook it for another 8-10 minutes on low-medium flame.
Turn off the flame, your cucumber curry is ready to be served, enjoy it with plain rice.
