Crispy Tofu Sticks


Tofu is a low fat substitute for cottage cheese which is known for its protein rich qualities and is an ideal blend of nutrition and taste. This Crispy Tofu Sticks is a Continental recipe that is quite easy to prepare at home.

3 tablespoon virgin olive oil
water as required
400 gm tofu
powdered black pepper as required
1 cup mayonnaise
1 cup bread crumbs
salt as required

Step 1
Start by pre-heating the oven at a temperature of 350 degree Fahrenheit. Meanwhile, grease a baking tray with a little olive oil. Set aside.

Step 2
Now, take two separate bowls. Prepare a thick batter by mixing mayonnaise, salt, powdered black pepper and water together in one and pour bread crumbs in the other. Drop the tofu slices one by one in the mayonnaise mixture and then dip them into the bread crumbs, so that they have an even coating of it.

Step 3
Add these tofu slices to the greased tray and slide it into the pre-heated oven. Bake for another 35-40 minutes or until it’s cooked well. Take out this tray after sometime and serve hot with some exotic dips.
