Creamy Potatoes with Cheese and Tomatoes


This weekend, introduce a scrumptious continental meal to your desi gathering.Try Creamy Potatoes with Cheese and Tomatoes recipe, whose name is more than enough to entice your soul. Made with small potatoes, it is served with a rich creamy sauce which is further prepared using tomato, mozzarella mixed with heavy whipped cream, seasoned with cilantro and oregano.

4 tomato
2 tablespoon cilantro
1 teaspoon cumin seeds ground
salt as required
2 yellow onion
black pepper as required
1 cup whipping cream
1 teaspoon oregano
12 small potatoes with skins
4 tablespoon butter
6 sprigs green onion
1 cup shredded mozzarella

Step 1
To begin with, take out a chopping board and chop cilantro, green and yellow onion finely. Take tomato and chop it as well.

Step 2
Next, take the small potatoes and wash them properly under cold running water. Then, put them in a deep-bottomed pan along with enough water as to submerge them. Add salt. Place the pan on medium high flame and bring the potatoes to a boil.

Step 3
Turn the flame to medium low and simmer for about 30 minutes or until tender enough. Once done, take them out, drain the entire water and allow them to cool. Now cut them in half and keep aside. Now, in order to prepare the sauce, place a pan on medium flame.

Add butter and allow it to melt. Once heated enough, add the chopped green onions and yellow onions and stir until well-cooked. Then, add the chopped tomatoes and stir yet again for another 5 minutes.

Now put heavy whipped cream, cilantro, oregano, cumin along with salt and pepper according to your taste. Turn the flame to medium low and let it simmer so that the spices get mixed up with sauce perfectly. Keep stirring once in a while, adding grated mozzarella and wait for it to melt completely.

Step 6
Once it does, transfer the cooked potatoes in a serving dish and pour over the entire sauce on them. Serve hot and enjoy the creamy dish with your family and friends.
