Colocasia Patty


Colocasia patty is a simple navratri recipe prepared by boiled colocasia roots along with spices and it is lightly spiced patties.

Recipe of Colocasia Patty

Ingredient Name Quantity Unit
Colocasia(boiled, grated)  1 Cup
Carrot(grated)  1 Cup
Green chillies  1/2 Teaspoons
Garam masala  1/4 Teaspoons
Amchur powder  1/4 Teaspoons
Cumin powder  1/4 Teaspoons
Red chilly powder  1/2 Teaspoons
Carom seeds  1/4 Teaspoons
Salt  0 To Taste
Coriander leaves(chopped)  1 Teaspoons
Semolina  1 Teaspoons
Oil  4-5 Teaspoons


1. Take a bowl, add colocasia, carrot, green chillies, garam masala, amchur powder, cumin powder, red chilly powder, carom seeds, salt, coriander leaves, semolina and mix nicely.
2. Divide into small dumpling and make flat round patties.
3. Place it on hot pan with little oil and shallow fry on both sides.
4. Now colocasia patty is ready to serve with tomato ketchup.
