Preparing an amazing chocolate cake is a classic way to impress your guests and kids! However, if you are not as great in baking as you should be, one of the simple recipes that will help you impressing them is, Chocolate Sponge Cake. This is an easy-to-make dessert recipe, which is loaded with the goodness of yoghurt, cocoa powder, vanilla essence, baking powder, butter, and all purpose flour. When you have unexpected guests at home and are not able to decide on what you should prepare to treat them, you can try this cake recipe as it can be made under 30 minutes!

Ingredients:
2 tablespoon cocoa powder
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
1/2 cup butter
10 tablespoon powdered sugar
1 cup all purpose flour
4 tablespoon yoghurt (curd)
1/2 tablespoon baking soda
water as required

Procedure:
Step 1
To begin with, add butter in a deep bowl. Next, microwave the bowl for 30 seconds or until the butter is melted. Keep it aside. Then in a deep bowl, add curd followed by adding baking soda. Stir and mix well with a spoon. Keep the mixture aside until needed again.

Step 2
Now, using a strainer sieve the mixture of cocoa powered and all purpose flour. Keep this sifted flour mixture aside for further usage. Then in another bowl, add enough water and heat it. To this, add melted butter and powdered sugar.

Step 3
To the prepared butter mixture, add sifted flour mixture followed by adding vanilla essence and curd mixture. Mix well using a spoon and avoid any clumps.

Step 4
Grease a tray with butter and add the prepared batter in it. Microwave it for 3 to 4 minutes. Once done, allow the cake to settle for another 5 to 6 minutes. Slice and serve!
