These Chocolate Macarons are light, crisp and blasting with chocolaty flavors that make it a mouth-watering feast to devour. This dessert recipe is easy to prepare at home with only a handful of ingredients like sugar, almond and cocoa powder.
200 gm powdered sugar
50 gm cocoa powder
100 gm caster sugar
90 gm whipping cream
powdered almonds as required
120 egg whites
115 gm dark chocolate
15 gm butter
Start by pre-heating the oven to a temperature of 180 degrees Celsius. Now, using a mortar and pestle pound the almonds into a coarse powder. Now in a bowl whisk together powdered sugar, almond powder and cocoa powder.
Beat in the egg whites in the same bowl and add castor sugar. Mix everything really well. Now, line the baking tray using a baking sheet. Pour the batter prepared above in the tray making an inch diameter circles placed one inch apart.
Slide this tray into the pre-heated oven after 2 minutes of pouring into the tray. Bake them for minimum 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, take these out of the oven and cool completely before removing from the baking sheet.
Now, place the dark chocolate slices in a small bowl and keep it on the side. Place the whipping cream in a saucepan over medium flame and bring it to boil. When it starts boiling, turn off the gas knob and pour it over the chocolate slices. Whisk until smooth and then set aside.
Spread this chocolate filling in between the macarons and sandwich them together. Your Chocolate Macarons are now ready to be served. You can also store the remaining macarons inside an air tight jar and eat them later.
