Chilli Cheese Samosa


Indian festivals always involve a lot of fun and feasting. Holi is here and it’s time to binge on some delectable treats. Samosas remain our all-time favorite whether it is a special occasion or something we want to munch on as an evening snack. With potatoes as their main ingredient, these crispy treats are an absolute delight to have. This Holi, we bring you this unique Samosa recipe, Chilli cheese Samosa. The ingredients used in this recipe are potatoes, green chilli, carom seeds, processed cheese, mozzarella cheese, and butter.

1/2 cup green chilli
1/2 cup coriander leaves
1 cup potato
salt as required
1 1/2 cup processed cheese
1 cup mozzarella
1/4 cup butter
2 cup refined oil

For Dough:
2 cup all purpose flour
2 tablespoon refined oil
2 teaspoon carom seeds

Step 1
To prepare these delicious samosas, take a pressure cooker and boil the potatoes in it. Once the potatoes are soft, peel and then grate them.

Step 2
Meanwhile, finely chop the green chilies, coriander and grate the cheese.

Step 3
Now, heat butter in a pan over a low flame and add the chopped green chilies to saute them.

Then, add the grated potatoes and mix well. Let it cook for a few minutes.

Add the chopped coriander and salt as per your taste. Remove from the flame and cool it down.

Meanwhile, in a bowl, mix the grated processed cheese and mozzarella cheese. Add them to the potato mixture.

Next, to prepare the dough, mix together the all-purpose flour, ajwain, and refined oil and knead dough out of them.

Take some portions of the dough and make small balls out of them. and roll it into chapattis of about 6 inches. Cut chapattis into two halves.

Step 9
Place the prepared filling at the center of these chapattis and fold inside. Seal from all edges and prepare triangle samosa fold.

Step 10
Heat the oil in a deep pan over a medium flame and deep fry the samosas. Remove and drain the excess oil using the clean paper towels. Serve hot with mint chutney or any dip of your choice.
