Cabbage-Pakoda

Cabbage Pakoda is an easy-to-make appetizer recipe that you can make for your loved ones in monsoons and winters. This pakoda recipe is cooked with shredded cabbage, rice flour, gram flour, green chilli and a melange of spices.

Ingredients:
4 cup cabbage
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 tablespoon ginger paste
1 teaspoon thymol seeds
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 cup refined oil
1/4 teaspoon turmeric
1 tablespoon garlic paste
1 teaspoon chilli powder
1 chopped green chilli

For The Main Dish:
4 tablespoon rice flour
2 cup gram flour (besan)

Procedure:
Step 1
To prepare this delicious pakora, take a large bowl and shred the cabbage evenly. Then, add chopped green chilies, cumin seeds, carom seeds, ginger-garlic paste, chilli powder, turmeric, and as per your taste. Mix all the ingredients well.

Step 2
Next, in the same bowl, add rice flour, baking soda, and gram flour, mix well once again.

Step 3
Now, put a non-stick pan on medium flame and heat oil in it. Meanwhile, make small balls from the mix and flatten them a little. Repeat the procedure and keep the prepared bowl aside for a while.

Step 4
By now, the oil will be hot enough to fry the pakoras. Carefully add 4-5 cabbage balls in the hot oil and deep fry until they turn golden brown in colour. When done, transfer these fried pakoras on a kitchen towel to soak the extra oil. Repeat until the batter is finished.

Step 5
Serve hot with green chutney and tomato sauce.
