Batata Poha


Batata Poha is a popular dish in Maharashtra that is usually had in breakfast. It is made with boiled potatoes, flattened rice and other regular spices and condiments. This is a very light and healthy dish that can be made within 20 minutes. So it is also a great breakfast option for busy mornings.

10 raw peanuts
4 curry leaves
1 boiled,diced potato
1 pinch cumin powder
sendha namak as required
1 teaspoon turmeric
1 pinch mustard seeds
1/2 teaspoon green chilli
80 gm soaked pressed rice
1 pinch coriander powder
2 tablespoon vegetable oil

Step 1
Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds followed by curry leaves and green chillies.

Step 2
Add soaked poha or flattened rice and boiled potato (diced). Stir well.

Step 3
Add all the spices and cook for 3-4 minutes. Fry the peanuts and use for garnishing. Serve hot.
