Baked Omelette


Omelette is hailed as the best and the most nutritious breakfast recipe. Baked Omelette is a healthier version of the conventional pan-fried omelette. This Continental breakfast recipe includes wholesome ingredients like lycopene enriched red tomatoes, energy providing rice and fresh crunchy onions, all baked and fluffy like a diet-pizza. This recipe is highly recommended for diabetic patients and for those who are working hard to lose weight.

4 egg whites
20 gm rice
20 gm chopped red bell pepper
4 teaspoon milk
20 gm chopped onion
20 gm chopped capsicum (green pepper)
20 gm chopped tomato
1 teaspoon margarine

For Seasoning:
salt as required
black pepper as required

For Garnishing:
1/2 cup coriander leaves

Step 1
First, take a baking dish, and grease it with a tiny amount of margarine. Take a bowl with clean water and add rice to it. Cook the rice. After this, make a layer of this cooked rice on the greased baking dish. Chop the onions, green capsicum, red bell pepper and tomato in a bowl. Mix the egg whites, milk, salt, pepper, chopped onion in a separate vessel and pour this mixture over the layer of rice in the baking dish. Top it with chopped capsicum, red bell pepper, and tomatoes.

Step 2
Bake the omelette batter in an oven at 300 degree Celsius for 15 minutes. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot!
