Namak Para is an Indian snack which is crispy, crunchy and flavorsome, all in one but with this recipe for Baked namak Para, you can also make it healthy. Super easy to make, it’s prepared using wheat flour, salt, ghee, spice black pepper, and carom seeds. This snack recipe is baked to perfection to bring out the lip-smacking, savory taste which will become an instant hit.
400 gm whole wheat flour
1 cup ghee
1/2 teaspoon carom seeds
salt as required
150 gm refined flour
1/2 teaspoon spice black pepper
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
water as required
To prepare this mouth-watering recipe, start by preheating the oven at 200 degree Celsius and grease a baking tray with ghee and sprinkle some flour over it.
Now, take a large bowl and mix whole wheat flour with refined flour along with the baking powder. Then, add ghee and mix with fingers to get to a crumbly consistency. Add the salt along with ajwain and spice black pepper and mix with cold water to form a stiff dough.
Cover the bowl with a moist cloth and keep aside for 10-15 minutes. When the dough is done, sprinkle some flour on a flat surface and using a rolling pin, roll out the dough to form chapatis.
Now, cut out diamond shapes or long stick shapes and place them on the greased tray. Bake the Namak paras for 15-20 minutes, or until they turn light golden brown in color. Then, transfer them to a serving tray.
Serve the delicious treat with a hot cup of tea or store them in an airtight container for later.
