Baked Masala Sev is an easy-to-make and healthy snack recipe. With minimum use of oil, this crunchy snack recipe is made using gram flour and tomato puree.
1 cup gram flour (besan)
1/4 teaspoon asafoetida
1 1/2 teaspoon chilli powder
1 teaspoon refined oil
1/4 cup pureed tomato
1/4 teaspoon turmeric
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
4 pinches salt
For making this snack recipe, take a deep mixing bowl and combine all the ingredients and knead into soft dough.
Shape the dough into a cylindrical roll, fill the dough into the ‘sev making tool’ and press out thin strands onto a greased baking tray.
Bake in a pre-heated oven at 200°c (400°f) for 15 minutes.
Cool, break them into pieces and serve with hot tea or coffee.
