Achaari Bhindi


Achaari Bhindi or okra is a popular North Indian recipe which is very easy to prepare at home. This mouth-watering dish can be prepared by using okra and some ground Indian spices like red chili powder, coriander powder, dry mango powder and garam masala powder which add distinct flavors to this vegetarian recipe.

500 gm okra
1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
1/2 teaspoon dry mango powder
salt as required
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon fennel seeds powder
1/2 teaspoon onion seeds
1 teaspoon ginger paste
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
2 tomato
1 pinch asafoetida
1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
3 tablespoon vegetable oil

For Garnishing:
2 sprigs coriander leaves
